The Last Supper
I was reading about this earlier in the week in the book of John. I was particularly struck by something in the story where we read about Jesus washing the disciples’ feet. Christ already knew that Judas was the one who was to betray Him, and yet……..
He
washed
his
feet.
He knew what this man was going to do to Him, and yet he washed his feet. HOW? I struggle to understand how Jesus did this. And this is the dilema of most of us, how to go about loving those that don’t return that love. We read in the N.T. about the challenge to love our enemies and pray for those that persecute us. Well, Jesus displayed this beautifully here.

I challenge you; the next time you face your enemy, wash their feet instead of treating them as they treat you. It may not reap earthly rewards; it will be tough. But, in that moment, you will be more like Jesus than most of us! Represent Him well today!
